We are
retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where we were Aviation Safety Inspectors.
Prior to joining the FAA, we held many different jobs during our
careers. We
are both Airline Transport Pilots and fly everything from gliders to jets.
Our last few years with the government put us behind a desks in management
positions, instead of behind a
control wheel of an aircraft. Jim retired from the FAA in 2005 and Nancy retired in 2007.
We sold our home in Oklahoma and now live full time aboard our sailing vessel
"Solitaire" with our two cats "Tippy" (six years old) and "Blazey"
(twenty years old). We have
lived aboard the boat for about 2 years and plan on living here another 15
years or so, health permitting, before becoming land bound again. In the
summer after Nancy's retirement, we cruised the east coast of
the United States taking a history lesson on America. As winter approached,
we moved south to the Bahamas.
We have many outdoor interests, the sailboat, scuba
diving and travel are the ones that come to mind first. Nancy traveled
a lot for her old job, but mostly it is in the good ole U.S.A.. So when
they
travel it is mainly out of the country. She got tired of staying at
the local airport hotel, so they like to try the accommodations outside of our
country. We have taken the sailboat out on the salt water again and
hope to see the rest of the world from sea level.
